1 1 Captain Benjamin SIsko

In the wake of his wife's death, Benjamin Sisko reluctantly accepted command of space station Deep Space 9. In time, however, Sisko came to embrace both his Starfleet assignment and his unexpected role as the prophesied "Emissary" to the Bajoran people. His leadership was crucial in the Federation's victory in the Dominion War. Sisko met his destiny when he trapped the Pah-wraiths in Bajor's Fire Caves at the cost of his own corporeal existence.
2 2 Odo

Odo earned widespread respect as Deep Space 9's security chief. At first Odo knew nothing of his Changeling origins, but eventually he learned that he was one of the Founders, a race of shapeshitters who distrusted "solids." When the Founders invaded the Gamma Quadrant, Odo played a key role in ending the war by convincing the Female Changeling to stand down. In exchange, he returned to the Great Link to cure his people of a devastating virus.
3 3 Lt. Commander Jadzia Dax

Starfleet science officer Jadzia Dax, a joined Trill, was assigned to Deep Space 9 under the command of her longtime friend Benjamin Sisko. During the Dominion War Jadzia commanded the Defiant on several key missions, including the mining of the Bajoran wormhole and the destruction of the Dominion's sensor array. Gul Dukat, controlled by a Pah-wraith, killed Jadzia when she caught him attempting to imprison the Prophets in the wormhole, but her symbiont survived.
4 4 Lt. Ezri Dax

Ezri Dax was the ninth Trill to host the Dax symbiont, taking over for Jadzia when the latter was killed by Gul Dukat. The transfer was done hastily and Ezri was hardly ready, but she received support from Dax's friends aboard Deep Space 9, where she became the station's counselor. Over time, Ezri found that she was attracted to Julian Bashir who reciprocated her feelings. She remained with Bashir on Deep Space 9 after the Dominion War.
5 5 Lt. Commander Worf

Worf joined the crew of Deep Space 9 to help the Federation avert a war between the Klingons and the Cardassians. Later, Worf accepted a permanent position on the station as strategic operations officer. He also commanded the Defiant for many missions. Their time together was cut short by Gul Dukat, who murdered Jadzia.
6 6 Jake Sisko

Jake Sisko was 11 years old when he lost his mother to a Borg attack. He accompanied his father, Benjamin Sisko, to his new posting as commander of Deep Space 9. It wasn't long before Jake and Nog became friends, and the pair had many adventures while growing up on the station. Along the way, Jake discovered that he wanted to be a writer. The Dominion War taught him about courage, cowardice, and the horrors of armed conflict.
7 7 Chief MIles O'Brien

Miles O'Brien served as chief of operations on Deep Space 9 following several years of distinguished service aboard the Enterprise-D. O'Brien took part in many critical assignments during the Dominion War, including several confrontations with the Jem'Hadar. He also helped recapture Deep Space 9 from Dominion forces. After the war, O'Brien returned to Earth with his family to become a professor of engineering at Starfleet Academy.
8 8 Quark

Quark opened his eponymous bar and gaming house when Deep Space 9 was still in Cardassian hands. After the Federation took over the station, Commander Sisko convinced Quark to keep his bar open. In the years that followed, Quark—true to his Ferengi nature – engaged in many dubious ventures for the sake of profit, but Constable Odo usually foiled his plans. Despite his questionable ethics, Quark became a friend to many on the station – even, begrudgingly, Odo.
9 9 Doctor Julian Bashir

Upon graduating from Starfleet Medical Academy, Doctor Julian Bashir chose to serve as chief medical officer on the frontier outpost of Deep Space 9 rather than take an easier, more comfortable assignment elsewhere. Bashir served with distinction aboard the station and developed close friendships with Miles O'Brien and Elim Garak. After the Federation Alliance won the Dominion War, Bashir remained on the station with his new paramour, Ezri Dax.
10 10 Colonel Kira Nerys

Gul Dukat served as Cardassia's Prefect of Bajor during the final years of the Occupation. After losing favor with his government, Dukat rose again to rule Cardassia as it joined the Dominion. He devoted himself to the Pah-wraiths and killed Jadzia Dax while under their control. Dukat was imprisoned in the Fire Caves by Benjamin Sisko.

Damar was killed while leading an assault on Dominion headquarters, making him a martyr for his cause.

Keiko O'Brien was the most supportive person that her husband, Miles O'Brien, had ever known. She returned to the station to give birth to the couple's second child but was injured in a shuttle accident, compelling Kira Nerys to serve as a surrogate birth mother.

The Intendant herself gunned down the mirror Nog, even though he had just freed her from her cell. She tried to shoot Jake Sisko, but the mirror Jennifer Sisko took the fatal blast. Realizing that Jake was Sisko's son, the Intendant let him live so Benjamin Sisko would be in her debt.
68 68 Adult Jake Sisko

In an alternate timeline, Jake Sisko retired as a writer at age 40 because of the death of his father, who died in a freak mishap aboard the Defiant. Captain Sisko's temporal signature was altered, making him appear and disappear several times over the course of Jake's life. Jake finally succeeded in saving his father by ending his own life at a moment when the two were reunited. Their link dissolved, and Captain Sisko returned to the Defiant to avoid the fatal accident.

Hoping to cure his men as well, Goran'Agar took them to Bopak III, but their addiction continued. A genetic mutation, rather than the planet, had cured Goran'Agar. His soldiers were dying, so he hunted them down to end their suffering.

As the daughter of a Cardassian father, Gul Dukat, and a Bajoran mother, Tora Naprem, Tora Ziyal had a difficult time fitting in with either culture. She chose to live on Deep Space 9, where she grew close with Kira and Garak. Ziyal loved her father but condemned his actions against the Bajoran people and her friends on the station. Ziyal was killed by her father's associate, Damar, for helping Kira's resistance movement against the Dominion.

U.S. Army nurse Faith Garland met Quark, Rom and Nog when they accidentally landed in Roswell, New Mexico, in 1947. Garland was among those who studied the three Ferengi at a military base. When the Army officers and MPs threatened to hurt the Ferengi trio, Garland and her fiancé helped them escape to their ship.
72 72 Admiral Leyton

Admiral Leyton's exemplary Starfleet career unraveled when he conspired to overthrow the Federation government. Leyton felt that the President was not adequately addressing the threat of Changelings infiltrating the highest levels of the Federation, so he attempted a military takeover. His plot included sabotaging Earth's global power grid to spread paranoia, and faking the approach of a Dominion invasion fleet. Captain Sisko thwarted Leyton's plot, and he resigned.

Kurn, son of Mogh, lost his lands and titles and was expelled from the High Council when his brother Worf refused to join the Klingon invasion of Cardassia. Disgraced, Kurn asked Worf to kill him, but the Deep Space 9 crew intervened. Afterward, Worf and his crewmates wiped Kurn's memory and gave him a fresh start with a new identity.

For thousands of years, Onaya had traveled the universe, dangerously stimulating the brains of compatible beings and feeding off their increased creative energy. Her victim on the station was Jake Sisko, who was working on his first novel. Jake might have died if not for his father's intervention. Onaya reverted to her natural form and fled the station.

76 76 Trevean

Trevean, like everyone else on the planet Teplan, was infected with the Blight. He took on the role of easing the suffering of those who had "quickened" by giving them toxic herbs. He did not believe in Doctor Bashir's experimental treatments at first, but when Bashir's antigen was shown to cure the unborn, Trevean embraced the treatment. He learned how to make and distribute the antigen to pregnant women so that future generations would be free of the disease.
77 77 Arne Darvin

Arne Darvin, the Klingon agent who poisoned the quadrotriticale on Deep Space Station K-7, suffered disgrace and discommendation when he was exposed by Captain Kirk. Years later, Darvin plotted to use the Bajoran Orb of Time to take revenge on Kirk. The Defiant crew prevented the bomb from killing Kirk, and Darvin was returned to Federation custody.

As chief facilitator for the Temtibi Lagoon on Risa, Arandis followed the planet's general policy in which different points of view were tolerated and respected. Arandis did not agree with Pascal Fullerton's viewpoint that Risa was the epitome of decaying Federation values, but she allowed his group to hold rallies there. Indeed, Arandis helped clean up the damage caused by the group's demonstration, and she persevered after [Fullerton] sabotaged Risa's weather modification network.
79 79 Fullerton Pascal

Pascal Fullerton chaired the New Essentialists movement, which was dedicated to restoring the "moral traditions" of the Federation. To Fullerton, the pleasure planet Risa was emblematic of just how far those moral values had fallen. When he damaged the planet's weather modification network, allowing Risa to return to its naturally rainy climate, many of the guests left. Fullerton intended to disable Risa's seismic regulators next, but Dax and Worf stopped him.
80 80 Thrax

Thrax served as Cardassia's chief security officer on Terok Nor before Odo. During an unusual telepathic link with three of his crewmates, Odo experienced a flashback in which Thrax arrested three innocent Bajorans and executed them for the attempted assassination of Gul Dukat. Thrax refused to listen to reason, being more interested in order than in justice. Ultimately, it turned out that it was Odo who had allowed the executions to take place.
81 81 Captain Sanders

Captain Sanders of the Malinche tried to help the Defiant intercept a Maquis vessel commanded by Michael Eddinaton. However, when Sanders cut off Eddington's escape route to the Badlands, the traitor still managed to slip away. Exasperated, Sanders asked Captain Sisko to save him a seat at Eddinaton's eventual court-martial.

However, he gave up the dabo girl when he saw her with Rom for he could not stand in the way of true love.
84 84 Arissa

The mysterious Arissa was an Idanian undercover agent who spent two years in the Orion syndicate to help her government capture a criminal named Draim. Arissa's effort to defect from the syndicate led her to Deep Space 9, where she met and fell in love with Odo. Ultimately, Odo saved Arissa from Draim's hit men. When her real memories and appearance were restored, Arissa broke off her relationship with Odo, but some part of herself still loved him.
85 85 Yelgrun

The Dominion sent Yelgrun, a Vorta clone, to the abandoned Empok Nor space station to carry out a prisoner exchange. Yelgrun agreed to release Ishka to Quark and his Ferengi team in exchange for Keevan, Starfleet's Vorta prisoner. Before the exchange, Yelgrun and Ishka were friendly toward one another; Ishka even gave Yelgrun financial advice. When it was all over, Ishka was free – but Yelgrun himself was captured and taken to Deep Space 9.
86 86 Kimara Cretak

Kimara Cretak was a patriotic Romulan senator who supported her government's alliance with the Federation against the Dominion. She served as the Romulan representative aboard Deep Space 9 and worked with Captain Sisko on the deployment of Romulan warbirds. Later, Cretak tried to help Doctor Bashir prevent an assassination attempt on a fellow senator, only to find that she'd been set up by the Federation's Section 31. Despite her innocence. Cretak's career was destroyed.

Ishka, Quark and Rom's mother, was a highly unconventional Ferengi female. In defiance of her planet's laws and customs, Ishka wore clothes and acquired profit. Eventually she became romantically involved with Grand Nagus Zek, and she convinced him to reform Ferengi society. The pair retired to Risa after the Dominion War.
88 88 Lwaxana Troi

On a visit to Deep Space 9, Betazoid Federation ambassador Lwaxana Troi became enamored with Odo. The pair shared some extremely personal moments while they were stuck in a turbolift. Two years later, Lwaxana returned to the station while suffering from Zanthi fever, a condition which projected her feelings for Odo onto others. During Lwaxana's final visit to the station, Odo married the ambassador so that she could end her marriage to Jeyal and raise her child independently.
89 89 Admiral William Ross

Admiral William Ross would do anything, even bend some rules behind the scenes, to protect the Federation. He commanded the Federation Alliance's military operations during the Dominion War and made Captain Sisko his adiutant throughout the Dominion's occupation of Deep Space 9. Ross and Sisko developed a close relationship based on respect and trust, even though Sisko's role as the Emissary caused some friction between them.
90 90 Joseph Sisko

Joseph Sisko, Captain Benjamin Sisko's father, was a gourmet chef who owned a restaurant in New Orleans. He never understood why his first wife, Sarah, left him shortly after Benjamin's first birthday. Hoping to help his son – and himself – find answers, Joseph accompanied the captain to the planet Tyree. There, they discovered that Sarah had been inhabited by one of the wormhole aliens known as the Prophets in order to ensure the birth of Benjamin Sisko – the Emissary.
91 91 Mullibok

When Cardassia invaded Bajor, the farmer Mullibok stowed away on a survey vessel and escaped to Jeraddo, a Bajoran moon. For the next 40 years, Mulibok lived a peaceful life on Jeraddo. He loved his home and refused to leave, despite a new power plant project that would render the moon uninhabitable. Even atter Kira befriended the old farmer, he still refused to go. Finally, Kira destroyed his cottage. Mullibok was devastated, but Kira vowed to help him move on.
92 92 Varani

Varani, a popular Bajoran musician, performed at the Jalanda Forum when he was a young man. During a visit to Deep Space 9, Varani met the Skrreea, who were displaced and searching for a new home. As a token of friendship, he gave their leader a holographic recording of an early performance. Varani sympathized with the Skrreea's plight, but he knew Bajor could not be their "promised land," for the planet was still recovering from its recent occupation by Cardassia.
93 93 Colyus

It was not easy for Colyus to accept that he was a hologram. For 10 years, he served as the protector of a holographic village on Yadera II. One by one, the villagers were disappearing. Odo and Dax convinced Colyus that a faulty holographic projector was the culprit. Colyus then persuaded the rest of his people to allow Odo and Dax to take them off-line so they could repair the proiector. The procedure worked, and the villagers were saved.
94 94 Rurigan

Rurigan was dismayed by the changes on his planet, Yadera Prime, after it was conquered by the Dominion. He re-settled on Yadera II, where he created a holographic village exemplifying all that he had lost. Rurigan came to accept the villagers as real people whom he loved, especially his granddaughter, Taya. When his holographic projector began to fail, Rurigan allowed Dax and Odo to repair it, restoring his friends and loved ones.

Legendary Klingon warrior and Dahar Master Kor achieved many glorious victories over the course of his career. Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Relationships Cards (1:144 packs) - Sequentially numbered to 75

R1 R1 BENJAMIN SISKO and MICHAEL EDDINGTON

Benjamin Sisko didn't want Starfleet security officer Michael Eddington assigned to Deep Space 9, as he already had a security chief in Constable Odo. Sisko's relationship with Eddington improved over time, but it turned sharply adversarial when Eddington defected to the Maquis. Sisko pursued and eventually caught Eddington, who viewed himself as the hero and Sisko the nemesis in Les Miserables. Later, Eddington earned Sisko's respect when he gave his life helping Sisko and others escape a Jem'Hadar base.
R2 R2 BENJAMIN SISKO and JAKE SISKO

Sisko and Jake enjoyed a close relationship, which was vital to them both after Jennifer Sisko died. Jake was 11 years old when he moved with his father to Deep Space 9, and in the years that followed, Benjamin watched his son grow up to be a thoughtful and talented writer. Among their mutual interests was baseball; they often went to the station's holo-suites to re-enact famous moments in the game's history. It was Jake who introduced his father to Kasidy Yates and served as best man at their wedding.
R3 R3 BENJAMIN SISKO and MIRROR JENNIFER SISKO

Benjamin Sisko met the alternate version of his late wife, Jennifer, during a mission in the mirror universe to help Terran rebels fight the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance. This Jennifer had reason to hate Benjamin, but he overcame her animosity and convinced her to join the rebellion. They met again when the mirror Jennifer lured Benjamin back to help build a Defiant-class vessel. The pair grew closer during that encounter, making it all the more difficult for Ben when Jennifer was killed by the mirror Kira.
R4 R4 KIRA NERYS and GUL DUKAT

Kira Nerys and Gul Dukat were adversaries, as Dukat was a key figure in Cardassia's occupation of Bajor, but their relationship was complicated and continually evolving. Dukat was fascinated with Kira, whose mother had been Dukat's lover. Although Kira rejected Dukat's interest, she did manage to work with him on occasion. Dukat entrusted Kira with his daughter, Ziyal, who became Kira's close friend while living on Deep Space 9. Kira and Dukat lost whatever truce existed between them when Dukat allied himself with the Dominion and became a disciple of the Pah-wraiths.
R5 R5 KIRA NERYS and BAREIL ANTOS

Bareil Antos and Kira Nerys discovered their mutual attraction during a visit by the vedek to Deep Space 9. Their romance blossomed as Kira realized that she was in love with Bareil. His role in covering up the truth about the Kendra Valley Massacre on Bajor troubled Kira but did not adversely affect her feelings for him. Later, when a transport vessel accident left Bareil mortally injured, Kira had a hard time letting him go. Alone with the unconscious vedek during his final moments, Kira finally said goodbye.
R6 R6 JADZIA DAX and QUARK

The friendship between Quark and Jadzia Dax, however unlikely it might have seemed to their crewmates, was nonetheless genuine and long-standing. Jadzia's interest in Ferengi society endeared her to Quark, who often invited her to play tongo with him. During Jadzia's zhian'tara ceremony, Quark agreed to suffer the embarrassment of embodying Audrid Dax, one of Dax's previous hosts. After Jadzia's death, Quark took part in Worf's mission to destroy the Monac shipyards to help Jadzia enter Sto-Vo-Kor.
R7 R7 JADZIA DAX and LENARA KAHN

The previous hosts of Jadzia Dax and Lenara Kahn, a Trill scientist, had been married, so it was not completely unexpected that the two should fall in love again during Kahn's visit to Deep Space 9. However, their rekindled relationship violated the Trill taboo against re-association. In the end, Lenara made the painful decision to end the relationship, since continuing it would mean expulsion from Trill society and an end to any further joinings for Dax and Kahn.
R8 R8 OOD and QUARK

Odo and Quark were adversaries from their earliest days on Deep Space 9, and yet—though Odo was loath to admit it—they were also friends. When Odo's constant vigilance wasn't disrupting one of Quark's shady business activities, the two found time to exchange insults in Quark's Bar. Quark was quite fond of the shapeshifter, and he made sure to say goodbye before Odo left the station for the Great Link. Odo, for his part, admitted to Kira that he would miss Quark.
R9 R9 ODO and WEYOUN

The Founders genetically engineered the Vorta to exalt the Founders as gods, so it was no wonder that Weyoun revered Odo despite the latter's association with the Federation. During the Dominion's brief occupation of Deep Space 9, Weyoun 5 gave Odo a seat on Dukat's ruling council. His successor, Weyoun 6, reached out to Odo to help him defect from the Dominion. Ultimately he sacrificed himself to save Odo, but before dying, Weyoun received Odo's blessing.
R10 R10 MILES O'BRIEN and JULIAN BASHIR

A strong friendship developed between Miles O'Brien and Julian Bashir as the two served together on Deep Space 9. They enioved a rivalry in leisure activities like darts and racquetball, and they helped each other survive difficult experiences with the Jem'Hadar and other foes. Bashir and O'Brien didn't always agree, but they respected each other's opinions. O'Brien thought Bashir would make a great father, but the doctor didn't see himself as the family type.
R11 R11 WORF and GOWRON

Worf was an early supporter of Gowron's leadership of the Klingon Empire, and Gowron considered him a friend. Their relationship soured, however, when Worf refused to help the chancellor invade Cardassia. Gowron responded by exiling Worf from the Empire. During the Dominion War, Gowron's poor battle strategies—not to mention his efforts to discredit General Martok—led Worf to challenge Gowron. Dueling with bat'leths, Worf killed Gowron and then passed the mantle of chancellor to Martok.
R12 R12 QUARK and BRUNT

Liquidator Brunt of the Ferengi Commerce Authority grew to hate Quark. Brunt held Quark responsible when his mother Ishka illegally earned profit, and again when the Ferengi employees of Quark's bar formed a union. Eventually Brunt expelled Quark from the Ferengi business world for breaking a contract. In time, Quark got his license back while foiling Brunt's scheme to install himself as the new Grand Nagus. Later, the pair managed to work together to rescue Ishka from the Dominion.
R13 R13 JULIAN BASHIR and ELIM GARAK

At first, Julian Bashir was interested in Elim Garak because he suspected that the Cardassian tailor was a spy. Garak and Bashir began to meet regularly for lunch, and an enduring friendship was born. After working together to expose one of Gul Dukat's plots, Bashir and Garak played out other intrigues in Bashir's spy holoprogram. They also fought side-by-side in real-life missions during the Dominion War. When a brain implant nearly killed Garak, Bashir went beyond the call of duty to save his friend.
R14 R14 ROM and MILES O'BRIEN

Rom and Miles O'Brien had little in common until Rom decided to pursue his engineering talents instead of working in Quark's bar. Rom joined O'Brien's maintenance team and the two spent more time together, which proved critical when Keiko O'Brien was taken over by a Pah-wraith. Rom figured out the Pah-wraith's objective, allowing Miles to derail the alien's plan to obliterate the Prophets in the wormhole. Recognizing the Ferengi's talents and his help in the affair, Miles promoted Rom to the day shift.
R15 R15 JAKE SISKO and NOG

Jake and Nog came from extremely different cultures, but that didn't stop the two boys from quickly becoming friends on Deep Space 9. Jake taught Nog to read and encouraged him to attend the station's school. Nog's treatment of females appalled Jake and their attempts at double-dating proved disastrous, but their friendship endured. Jake supported Nog when the latter chose to enter Starfeet Academy. When Nog returned to Deep Space 9, the two friends decided to share quarters together.
R16 R16 DAMAR and DUKAT

Damar was Dukat's chief adjutant in the Cardassian military, and he viewed Dukat as a mentor. Dukat and Damar agreed on the need for Cardassia to join the Dominion, and Dukat promoted Damar to the rank of gul. Their relationship came to an abrupt end when Damar killed Dukat's daughter, Ziyal, for aiding the Federation. When they met for the last time, Damar urged Dukat to resume his role as leader of Cardassia. Dukat chose to follow the Pah-wraiths instead.
R17 R17 ELIM GARAK and TORA ZIYAL

When Garak first met Ziyal, he thought the half-Bajoran, half-Cardassian girl might try to kill him because of the acrimony between himself and her father, Dukat. However, as Garak and Ziyal were the only Cardassians on the station, they formed a bond. Dukat was outraged when he learned that Ziyal had fallen in love with Garak. Nevertheless, Ziyal held fast to her feelings for the outcast Cardassian. When she was killed by Damar, Garak felt the loss keenly.
R18 R18 DUKAT and WINN ADAMI

Dukat posed as a Bajoran to meet with Winn Adami, whose help he needed to destroy the Prophets. As Dukat manipulated Winn, their relationship grew intimate. When she learned his true identity, she overcame her doubts and joined his cause. In the Bajoran Fire Caves, Winn killed Dukat as a sacrifice to the Pah-wraiths. However, they resurrected him and turned against her, prompting a last-minute change of heart for Winn. She tried to help Sisko destroy Dukat, but he killed her in the fire pit.
